STORYTELLING x TECHNOLOGY x VISIONS
PICTURE THIS_17 is a new one-day event dedicated to exploring the intersection of storytelling, technology and visions for the future of filmmaking.
PICTURE THIS_17 brings together professionals from the entire supply chain of filmmaking from early development to post production and exhibition to examine and discuss the technology that shapes how we develop, produce and experience the motion pictures of tomorrow.
PICTURE THIS_17 aims to inspire filmmakers to work smarter and to be more innovative by using new technology to optimize workflows, maximize production value, increase artistic creativity and in the end, reinforce the continued development of the cinematic art form.
PICTURE THIS_17 showcases works-in-progress, in-depth case studies and the latest technological tools presented by innovative filmmakers, designers, technicians, scientists and industry experts from around the world who are pushing technology and transcending the limits of digital filmmaking.
Among the topics we plan to address are cutting edge image and sound technologies, creative collaboration between writers, directors, producers, cinematographers, production designers and VFX supervisors, the perspectives of virtual reality storytelling, the integration of game technology in film production and predictions of the future of cinema.
PICTURE THIS_17 is initiated and funded by the Nordisk Film Foundation and organized by the Filmworkshop/Copenhagen in collaboration with film industry professionals.
